The Miami Heat are now in the NBA play-off series, and are competing to win the NBA Championship trophy. In their first series, they're playing the New York Knicks. The Heat defeated the Knicks for a second time, 104-94, on Monday to take a 2-0 lead in their first round series in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Dwyane Wade had the most points of the night with 25. While Chris Bosh added 21 points and LeBron James finished with 19 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Miami had Mario Chalmers with 13 points, and Mike Miller and Shane Battier, who each had 11. The Heat were 9-of-21 for three-pointers. The Heat made a 10-point lead right before halftime and kept it up throughout the game.
"We talked about it, we did what we were supposed to do. We're already trying to leave this game behind and try to start this series. It will be a great environment up there in New York," said Erik Spoelstra.
The Knicks' Carmelo Anthony got 30 points, but he shot just 12-of-26. Amar's Stoudemire had 18 points and seven rebounds but was tended to by paramedics after the game after he reportedly punched the glass enclosure around a fire extinguisher.
The Knicks fouled the Heat too many times and the Heat got 19 points from it. But the Knicks guard, Jemeremy Lin may return, from a torn meniscus surgery, to game 4 on Sunday in New York.
The Heat have now won five straight against the Knicks, including the regular season. Game three is Thursday in New York.

Newest player, Ronny Turiaf, is showing coach Spoelstra that replacing him for Joel Anthony was the right thing to do. Turiaf scored eight points and had nine rebounds against the Pistons. Anthony isn't much help when it comes to scoring and Turiaf blocks up the middle a lot better than Anthony does.
Dwyane Wade has been out of the games lately due to a sore left knee. He came back wednesday night after sitting out during the Heat's tuesday night game against the 76er's. After they beat the Oklahoma City Thunder, he sat again because his right ankle was sore and bothering him (like it has been throughout the season). Hopefully he came come back tomorrow night when the Heat play the Boston Celtics. The team needs him, even though they've won 10 out of the 11 games he's missed, Lebron needs someone to assist with all the dunks and lay-ups he loves to do.
In the past seven days, the Miami Heat have won three out of their four games. They beat the 76er's and the Thunder by only five and six points. They had those close games with those good teams, then they had a surprising loss to the Memphis Grizzlies; losing by 15 points had the team down, but they came back to beat the Detroit Pistons by 23 points. They take on the Boston Celtics tomorrow night at home.

The 2011-2012 Miami Heat season, as of now, show that they are fourth in the NBA. Their record, so far, is 37-14. The Heat took on the Toronto Raptors last Friday and beat them 113-101. With the Heat scoring 64 of their 113 points in the paint, the rest of the night was dunks, alley-oops, and lay-ups. They started the game with an 18-4 run against the 18-35 Raptors. The "Big Three" scored 86 of the 113 points for the nights game. "We're not really worried about how pretty it looks. We're just trying to continue to play good basketball, continue to play well" said Dwyane Wade. Then came Sunday's game against the 30-22 Boston Celtics. The Heat just weren't playing their best. They only scored a total of 72 in the game. "This game was unacceptable. We will fix it together, collectively. We're not happy about it, we have not been able to come up with an answer on the road, particularly in the third quarter. We fell prey to that again tonight," said Eric Spoelstra, head coach.
The Miami Heat are an NBA basketball team that are trying to get their 2 NBA championship title. They won the championship in 2006 with Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal as their star players. The Miami Heat franchise has 861 all-time wins, 911 all-time losses, 1 conference title, 14 playoff appearances, 7 division titles, and 1 championship. Now, the Heat consist of Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Chris Bosh, Norris Cole, Mario Chalmers, Joel Anthony, Shane Battier, Eddy Curry, Terrel Harris, Udonis Haslem, Juwan Howard, James Jones, Mike Miller, Dexter Pittman, and Ronny Turiaf.
